Then on to the drive shaft. It will also almost always have some minor imbalance (once per revolution of the engine in high gear). Now add in the torsional vibrations that will be there as a result of the drive shaft running through any but a very minor joint angle (2 times per revolution of the drive shaft).
After lifting your Jeep XJ Cherokee a CV (Double Cardan) drive shaft is a good choice to eliminate vibration issues and provide the longest lasting drive shaft. Includes better quality CV joints. Shaft strength is twice as strong as the factory equipped drive shaft.
7/29/2017 · Any one have issues with driveline vibration ? Starting at about 55-60 mph, get high frequency vibration from under the jeep. Had a new front driveline made and balanced. That helped but didn’t go away completely. I bought this tj used a couple of months ago and the front driveshaft was slightly bent, so that is why the new one.

My 2001 is lifted with the Rubicon Express 3.5 kit with 31’s and I’m noticing increasing driveline vibrations when letting off the gas at speed, at first it was only really noticeable around 40mph but now it seems it is at faster speeds as well, still seemingly just when letting off the gas.
